Our Story
How The Bake Box Began
Some of our favorite family memories started with a ball of dough.
Every week, our kids would ask to make challah. It wasn't something we had to convince them to do. Instead, it was the highlight of their week. We'd make the dough, gather around the table, and let their imaginations take over. Chocolate chips, cinnamon sugar, funny shapes... whatever they could dream up!
Watching them create was pure joy.
It felt a lot like Play-Doh, except at the end there was something warm, delicious, and homemade to share together. As we watched their excitement grow, we realized it wasn't really about the bread. It was about the laughter, the conversations, the messy hands, and the memories being made along the way.
That's why we created The Bake Box.
We wanted to make it easy for other families to enjoy the same experience—without the hassle of starting from scratch. Just open the box, gather around the table, and create something delicious together. Because the best part isn't what comes out of the oven.
It's the time spent together before it goes in.

Classic Challah is a traditional plain braid — golden, soft, and perfect for any table. Sweet Challah is lightly sweet with rich chocolate swirled inside.
Keep baked challah in an airtight bag or wrapped at room temperature for up to 2–3 days. For longer storage, slice and freeze in a zip bag for up to a month.
Wrap slices or a whole loaf in foil and warm in a 300°F oven for 8–10 minutes. Or toast individual slices for a crisp exterior.
Baked challah is best within 2–3 days. Before it goes stale, try:
- French toast or challah bread pudding
- Grilled cheese or panini
- Homemade croutons or breadcrumbs
- Freeze sliced loaf in a zip bag for up to a month
Day-old challah soaks up custard beautifully — don't toss it too soon.
